300年企業のはじまりを築く、“組”の物語

創業の歩み: 明治30年、初代今西末吉が「大末」の屋号を名乗り、大工の棟梁として創業しました。
その後、二代目今西末吉が鉄道工事の請負業を拡大し、昭和11年には「今西組」として法人組織化を果たしました。
当時、「建設業」という言葉が存在しなかった中で、時代を先取りする“請負師”として歩みを進めました。

安全第一と地域密着の姿勢: それから百数十年。
私たちは「安全第一（SAFETY FIRST）」を経営の柱とし、施工一筋で磨き続けた確かな技術と、顧客視点で培った修繕の知見を活かし、お客様に安心と満足をお届けしてまいりました。
地域に根差した信頼関係を何よりも大切にし、お施主様や設計事務所様からのご依頼に誠実に向き合ってきた姿勢こそが、今西組の基盤です。

社員一人ひとりの力で築く未来: 6代目として社長に就任した際、全社員に向けて「未来へのすみだし」という手紙を配布しました。その中で掲げたビジョンが、

“ひとりひとりが、今西組。ひとつの仕事が、今西組。”

です。社員一人ひとりの力を結集し、地域の皆様や協力業者様と共に、次世代に繋がる持続可能な会社づくりを目指しています。

また、創業者の思いを受け継ぐだけでなく、未来を見据えた挑戦を続けています。省エネはもちろん、ユーザーの使い勝手を重視した設計や、資源リサイクル型施工といった環境に配慮した建築技術の導入や、デジタルトランスフォーメーション（DX）を推進し、生産性を少しずつ高め、新しい価値を創造しています。

地域から世界へ広がる貢献活動: さらには、4代目今西壽雄がヒマラヤ・マナスルへの世界初登頂を果たしたご縁で、ネパール名誉総領事館の運営を通じた社会貢献活動にも取り組んでおります。
これらの活動を通じ、地域から世界へと広がる今西組の役割を果たしていきたいと考えています。

目指すのは、ひとつ上の頂き。世界一信頼される「組」へ。: 「組といえば今西組」と多くの方々に認められる存在であるために。そして、六甲山よりエベレストを目指す気持ちで、新たなステージへ挑戦してまいります。

The History of Our Founding: In 1897, our founder, Suekichi Imanishi, began his journey as a master carpenter under the trade name “Osumu.” Later, the second-generation Suekichi Imanishi expanded the business into railway construction contracting, and in 1936, the company transitioned to a corporate entity under the name “Imanishi Gumi.” At a time when the term “construction industry” did not yet exist, we made strides as pioneers of the “contracting profession.”

Commitment to Safety and Community: Over the past century and more, we have upheld “Safety First” as the cornerstone of our management philosophy. Through unwavering dedication to construction, we have honed our technical expertise and cultivated repair know-how from the perspective of our clients, delivering safety and satisfaction with every project.

We place the highest value on building trust within the communities we serve. Our sincere and dependable responses to requests from clients and design offices have become the foundation of Imanishi Gumi’s reputation.

Building the Future Through Individual Strengths: When I took office as the sixth-generation president, I shared a letter with all employees titled “Foundations for the Future.” In it, I outlined our vision:

“Each individual is Imanishi Gumi. Each project is Imanishi Gumi.”

By harnessing the collective strength of each employee and collaborating with our local communities and partner companies, we are working towards a sustainable company that will carry forward into the next generation.

In addition to honoring the vision of our founders, we continue to take on challenges with an eye toward the future. From energy-efficient designs and user-friendly construction to resource-recycling building methods, we are introducing environmentally conscious techniques. We are also advancing digital transformation (DX) initiatives to enhance productivity and create new value.
